Israeli army targeted a car on a main street in the West Bank city of
Nablus by a missile fired from a helicopter and hit the car killing its
driver, the Hamas activist Ibrahim Bani Odeh. Oded was freed yesterday
after three years in a Palestinian prison.
Two Palestinians were killed and ten others were injured in renewed
confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. One
Palestinian was killed near the Beit Hanun crossing at the northern edge of
the strip while the second died of gunshot wounds in Rafah near the
Palestine-Egypt borders. Fifteen other Palestinians were reported injured
in the Gaza Strip, one of them seriously.
One Israeli soldier was killed and two others wounded when a small bomb
exploded near an Israeli army outpost.
